Singapore Airlines is the first international airline to announce the return of scheduled commercial international flights between Singapore and Da Nang, according to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre. Flights between Singapore and Da Nang will restart on March 27, giving Da Nang a better chance to get international tourists back.
Beginning March 27, Singapore Airlines will operate a single daily round trip flight between Da Nang and Singapore in the mornings on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and in the afternoons on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. In order to fulfill rising demand from travelers, the airline will boost flight frequency between the two destinations later.
Opportunities for Da Nang to lure international tourists back
Prior to the suspension of foreign flights into Da Nang due to COVID-19, Singapore was one of Da Nang's most important visitor markets because it was Southeast Asia's top purchasing power country, with four daily nonstop flights from Singapore to Da Nang. The reintroduction of international flights is a positive omen for Da Nang's tourism sector, which has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Seats on flights between Da Nang and Singapore are currently available for open sale, and these flights can be booked on the Singapore Airlines Ltd website.
